Of course being primarily based on the old story of the Mongoose Vs. Snake, Seviper and Zangoose also share a few characteristics with the film icons known as the Alien (Xenomorph) and Predator (Yautja). The theme of them being rivals in the first place is conducive to this theory, however that alone isn't enough to sell such an idea. What really makes me think of this specific similie is their aesthetic and physiological similarities.
Seviper is a serpent, much like the original Xenomorphs, and is a poison type. Her typing is relevant due to Xenomorphs famously having acidic blood.
On the other side, we have Zangoose. Upon looking at his blood-stained fur and intimidating glare it's clear that Zangoose is a hunter, akin to the Yautja of the Predator franchise. When sizing them up, the resemblance is unmistakable- those claws are awfully close to Wrist Blades. Not to mention, how many Mongooses are bipedal?
