I know that the Pokémon anime was the subject of a short-lived American daily newspaper comic strip written by Gerard Jones and illustrated by Ashura Benimaru. However, that doesn't stop me from wondering if an American made Pokémon comic series could ever work in the comic book industry. I can already picture it being published by Archie or IDW. It could either be based on the games, the anime, or be an original story with original characters. At least, that's what I think.
